Own Your Body

March 23, 2026

“I don’t live in your body.”

This is one of the single most important statements I can make to a patient.

So often, we seek “expert” wisdom from a health care provider even when that provider has never had to live a day in our body.

Can they provide parameters to help you achieve the goal you have set before you?

Absolutely!

But do they live in your body?

No.

You see, what happens inside the 4 walls of an office is an incredibly short time period.

Most of the patients who start care with me will see me on average about 1 hour a week split between two days (that’s 30 minutes 2x a week)

1 hour out of 168 hours a week.

In that hour I am constantly asked “what can I do outside of the office to ensure the success of this investment?”

It is incredibly simple.

Lets do a breakdown of a 24 hour period.

How many hours do you spend sleeping?

How many hours do you spend exercising?

How many hours do you spend sitting?

How many hours do you spend on a screen?

How many hours do you sabbath?

Be honest with yourself and I am sure you will start to see a pattern in where the gaps are.

Most people are inconsistent in three of those options: Sleep, Sabbath, Exercise.

Most people are very consistent on the other two: screen time and sitting.

Want to reclaim your health?

Get consistent in the 3 that matter.

Go to bed and wake up at the same time every single day.

Get at least 45 minutes of walking outside every single day.

Sabbath 1 day a week (God made it that way.)

If you can do this, I guarantee you your body will be transformed.

You are the only one who has to live in the only body you will ever have.

How you choose to live and take care of that body is up to you.

Not your doctor.

Not your spouse.

Not your friend.

You.

Own your body or your body will be owned.
