Certainty vs Guessing

Do you ever feel like your doctor is playing the lottery with your health?

You know…guessing at a bunch of random diagnoses without ever being certain of what will work and what won’t work?

I have been there too.

I would imagine that most of you who have landed on this blog have been there as well.

Every single person wants to believe that when they invest in the services of a health care provider that the provider is operating with the utmost certainty that they can help you.

It is part of the Hippocratic oath: Do No Harm.

Yet, why is it that we find that on most visits to a health care provider, we are not sure if they are operating with certainty or just guessing and slapping paint on the wall?

It all starts with how we have been trained in this world to view health.

We have been hammered with the idea that if we have a symptom, we should be sick.

If we are sick, there is something wrong with us and we need to make it right.

For most of us, that means utilizing the services of mainstream medicine in the form of a drug.

On the flip side, we are trained to believe that if we don’t have symptoms, then we must be perfectly healthy and we go about living our lives as normal (whatever that looks like for you).

However – I can think of many instances where there are no symptoms for a majority of the disease process – think about a heart attack – the first symptom is the heart attack itself.

I can also think of many instances where the symptoms is a good thing – think food poisoning…the body is working very quickly to get rid of toxins that could be potentially damaging to your body.

It doesn’t make sense, does it?

So…it leaves me asking the question…when we receive a diagnosis, is it given with certainty or is it given with some really strong educated guessing?

I would like to propose that maybe we need to shift our understanding of what health actually is.

Health, in its raw form, is a complete state of well being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmaries.

No, wherein that definition do I see symptoms.

Nor do I see the word diagnosis.

I see the word complete state of well being.

This gives rise to the demand of, how are you certain I am in a complete state of well being?

Sounds to me like there is a lot of guesswork involved in that.

Actually…it is more simple than you could ever imagine.

If we are certain that the nervous system is responsible for controlling every single process that takes place in the human body from the moment of conception until the moment of natural death, wouldn’t it just make sense to have the function of your neurological system assessed?

There wouldn’t be a lot of guesswork involved in that.

It actually seems pretty simple to me.

You see, at Hope Southlake, we choose to use certainty over guesswork when helping our patients navigate their current health crisis.

Most doctors you visit use a guessing game of ruling out and ruling in specific disease processes.

We chose to bypass this guesswork and get down to the root of the problem.

If your nervous system is not functioning in an optimal state, no matter what disease you are labeled with, we are certain you will have a symptom.

If your nervous system is functioning in an optimal state, the likelihood of you being diagnosed with a disease is incredibly low.

Simple right?

Let’s take the guesswork out of health.

Let’s bring back certainty.

It all starts and ends with your nervous system.

By assessing the function of your nervous system, we are aiming to restore certainty to health.

The certainty that we can locate exactly where the problem is.

The certainty that when you commit to our process and give us an investment of your time, that we can get you back to optimal function.

The certainty that Hope still exists.

If it is a certainty you are looking for when it comes to your health, look no further.

We deliver our results with certainty, there is no guesswork here.
