Protect Your Mornings

Protect Your Mornings
The Patient (You Are the Hero of Your Recovery)

When chronic spinal tension, neurological symptoms, or unanswered health struggles keep interrupting your work, sleep, and family life, it is frustrating to be told your only option is temporary symptom management.

At Hope Upper Cervical Spine Center in Southlake, we understand how exhausting it is to search for real answers when you just want to feel like yourself again.

April 7th, 2024

How you start your day is one of the single most important decision you make.

In fact, I would argue that the way you organize your morning will reflect how the rest of your day will go.

If you are the type who hits the snooze button a few times, I guarantee that you will find yourself distracted throughout the day embracing procrastination and continuing to add things to your to do list.

If you are the type who has an organized routine, I guarantee you can almost predict how your day will go 90% of the time.

There is a significant difference.

In High School, our disciplinarian was a Vietnam Veteran who would bark at us about the 7 P’s.

Prior Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance…Gentlemen.

I think there is some wisdom in this.

Your morning is where you set the tone for the entire day.

If you are content with setting a tone that involves heavy procrastination, don’t be shocked when the results you want don’t come.

You haven’t set yourself up for success.

My encouragement to you is to evaluate how you execute when you first wake up.

My advice can be summarized in a few bullet points

  • No snooze option on the alarm
  • Remove the cell phone from the bedroom and switch to an “old-school” alarm clock
  • Wait 1 hour before any caffeine consumption
  • Get some form of movement in (walking is ideal)
  • Dedicate 10:00 to visualizing how your day is going to go
  • Read 10 pages of a self improvement book

These tried and true tactics can help you elevate your morning routine so you can conquer the day.

Protect your mornings and watch your whole life transform.

Remember…it's 4:45 AM…im starting my morning routine off with movement…and if you are walking with me, wherever you are in the world, know that I am praying for you and willfully suffering with you.

Till next week.

Common Patient Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the message in "Protect Your Mornings" connect to physical healing and nervous system health?

At Hope Upper Cervical Spine Center, we see every day that lasting recovery requires both structural alignment and daily personal stewardship. When your nervous system is free of upper cervical interference and your daily habits are grounded in discipline and consistency, your body has the foundation it needs to heal and thrive.

Why does consistency matter so much when restoring long-term spinal and neurological health?

Just like building mental resilience or physical strength, stabilizing ligaments and retraining chronic neurological patterns takes intentional consistency. In Upper Cervical Care, "Holding is Healing"—each week your spine holds its alignment builds cumulative momentum toward lasting relief.

How is Upper Cervical Care at Hope Southlake different from quick-fix symptom management?

Rather than chasing temporary symptom relief with medications or generalized spinal popping, Dr. Joey Kramer uses 3D imaging and paraspinal thermography to correct the root structural misalignment at the Atlas (C1) and Axis (C2) with zero twisting or cracking.

What is the best first step if I am ready to take ownership of my health at Hope Southlake?

Schedule a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Joey Kramer at our Southlake clinic by calling (972) 638-0994 or booking online at hopesouthlake.com/schedule to evaluate your spinal alignment and nervous system function.
